I’m soo happy with this scene, like !?! Miyuki. Is. LAUGHING. I feel like that scene just wraps up who Miyuki is as a person in just a couple of seconds. They’re in the last inning, victory is literally just 3 outs away. Instead of his pitchers being worried, Furuya and Sawamura surprise him by saying they’re aren’t holding back. They know that Miyuki can handle it & he loves that!
The dude is also injured (go to the fucking doctor pLS) but he selflessly went through hell to just score and finish up the game! & their opponents are Yakushi, who’ve not only become a helluva a lot stronger but they were winning just a couple minutes before. The pressure is on, any slip up can cost them the game, even the audience feels it (& Mind you koshien and Coach Kataoka are on the line)… & Miyuki is laughing. This what he loves about baseball!! & he is openly enjoying it with his team! Not with a smirk or teasing remarks but just laughter.
